Located in Portland, Maine, Peak Organic Beer Company was hatched by two friends in 1998 who began experimenting with some brewing equipment they had purchased as a birthday gift for another friend. Soon realizing their interest in making their own beers, the pair often drank their early wares after ‘peak’ experiences such as a day spent with family or in the outdoors. The company hasn’t lost that spirit, posting user-submitted photos from trips around the world all over their web site.
Peak’s Espresso Amber Ale is brewed with organic fair-trade espresso beans harvested locally by a like-minded coffee roastery located down the street.
