Organic spirits, or 'eco-elixirs', are the newest rage in the green beverage industry. Like their organic beer and wine brethren, organic liquors often boast superior ingredients, such as natural yeast. Due to the limited availability of many of these necessary inputs, organic vodkas are the most commonly made of the organic spirits in the U.S., although organic whiskeys, gin, rum, and many other libations can be more easily sourced from outside U.S. shores.
Organic spirits are often mixed with local organic fruit and juices to produce killer 'green' cocktails. Sounds like a great way to justify hosting our next party.
