Our Farm
Pollinators aND FARMERS ONLY
At Fiddlehead Farm, every step of our tea-making process happens by hand and with intention. We grow, harvest, dry, and pack every herb ourselves to ensure exceptional quality from seed to cup. Our herbs are harvested at their peak for maximum potency, aroma, and flavor, then carefully dried to preserve their natural benefits. Unlike mass-produced teas, our blends are crafted in small batches on our farm, giving you a fresher, cleaner, and more flavorful tea experience.
Farming
Our journey began with lavender and a simple realization: much of the lavender available on the market was old, poorly stored, or not truly culinary grade. Too often, it carried a harsh or overly perfumed taste that did not belong in a premium tea experience. That discovery inspired us to search for lavender varieties known for their smooth, delicate flavor and natural sweetness. What started as a passion for better lavender quickly grew into a deeper commitment to growing herbs with exceptional taste, freshness, and quality — herbs that people could truly enjoy in every cup from Fiddlehead Farm.
Our Herbs
As we explored the world of herbs, we discovered not only how beneficial they can be for the body, but how incredibly flavorful they are when grown and prepared with care. We believe herbs have the power to support balance and wellness naturally, helping the body find equilibrium the way nature intended. That is why we began with herbs that people already know and love for their comforting, refreshing taste — creating blends that are both enjoyable to drink and nourishing to the body at Fiddlehead Farm.
Lavender
We believe we have discovered some of the most flavorful lavenders available for tea. Our culinary lavender is carefully selected from varieties of Lavandula angustifolia known for their naturally smooth, sweet character. Varieties such as Melissa and Royal Velvet are so delicate and enjoyable that we believe they can be eaten straight from the plant. That soft, sweet floral flavor — never bitter or overpowering — is the standard we strive for in every herbal tea blend we create at Fiddlehead Farm.
AFTER IT IS GROWN
Once our herbs are carefully grown and harvested, the drying process becomes just as important as the field work itself. After harvest, each plant is cleaned by hand and allowed to rest outdoors for up to 24 hours to help ease the transition from the field to the drying process.
Drying Process
We begin with gentle sun drying before moving the herbs into our drying room, where temperatures are kept below 100 degrees and humidity levels remain low to preserve flavor, color, aroma, and natural oils. This slow, full-leaf drying process helps protect the integrity of every herb. Once we determine the leaves are fully dried and free of excess moisture, they are carefully stored and prepared for blending at Fiddlehead Farm.
Our Process / Blends
After gathering a full season of flavors from the field, we begin crafting our herbal tea blends with balance and drinkability in mind. Every blend is thoughtfully created to deliver a smooth, enjoyable taste that you will want to come back to again and again. One example is our Holy Basil tea, where two carefully selected Tulsi varieties come together to create a rich, refreshing flavor that is both comforting and vibrant. It is remarkable that something so delicious can also provide so many natural benefits for the body — a balance we strive to achieve in every blend from Fiddlehead Farm.
